C. White-Cooper (Teacher Ces) took a nontraditional course into the world of teaching. Initially moving to Los Angeles to chase her dreams of working in the entertainment industry, Teacher Ces grew bored with it all. She searched for a profession that was both meaningful and purposeful, so she decided to become a substitute teacher. Although she started as a substitute, Teacher Ces was asked to stay on for the rest of the school year for a class that did not have a teacher. At the end of that school year, Teacher Ces decided to become a full time classroom teacher with Inglewood Unified School District in Inglewood, California. Teacher Ces worked in a second grade classroom in the day and attended school full time in the evening to obtain her teaching certification for the following two years.
After relocating to the Washington DC area, Teacher Ces went on to obtain her master’s degree in Education (M.Ed). Throughout the years Teacher Ces has not only coached drill teams and tutored inner city students but also participated in countless professional development opportunities and obtained endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Reading Specialist. After working with several tutoring companies and still working a full time job, Teacher Ces decided the time was right for working independently. Teacher Ces enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and of course learning. Allow Teacher Ces to help you!
