Extra Income for Teachers
As a teacher, I am looking for opportunities to make extra money. Especially opportuities that allow me to think smarter, instead of harder. What does that mean? Well, it feels easy and it looks like I don’t have to leave the comfort of home in order to make a few extra dollars.
Back to the Grind
I have been back to work for over a month now. Inadvertently, I took this time period off to get reaclamated to the working mom life. Back to early mornings, getting kids up and off to school, traffic, and you know the rest.
Blogging and social media took a backseat to the job that pays the bills. I had classes to teach. Names to learn. Relationship to build and papers to grade. With school back in session, my teacher friends are looking at ways to make a little extra money.
After over a month, I have dedicated the time to get back on my independent grind. Let’s get down to business. The new theme is earning smarter not harder. When I was a new teacher, I (gasp) worked for free. I was the drill team coach and I remember working unpaid after school coaching the team for various parades and such. I dedicated three days, four and a half hours to this activity. I was working harder, for free . . .
